Return to Joy is a family memoir about one family's journey into the depths of dementia. Sisters Charlotte and Virginia Parker share how the challenges, grief, and even humor of dementia transformed their family as they stepped into their demented mother's reality.

I am going to read it again!

Dear Charlotte,

How great is this book! I am going to read it again. I am going to read it again.

I loved all of the explanations of the causes of Alzheimer’s. I never had thought about other illnesses harboring Alzheimer’s disease.

Your book is easy to read. The gems about care of any Alzheimer’s patients were helpful. Getting into the Alzheimer’s patients’ world instead of making them conform to our world was great advice.

I learned a lot about your creative side in this book and loved the Palo Pinto / Lone Camp references.

Virginia’s comments on the bottom of page 17 hit home for me. Those words helped me understand my youngest brother. The comparison to the lessor known goddesses is a good theme.
